We speak your language. Literally and figuratively.

by | Jan 29, 2024 | Blog

Our founder, Tony Lopez, fled Cuba as a child with his parents with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. They settled in Lawrence, MA and Tony worked hard, pursued the American Dream and is grateful for all that America and the City of Lawrence enabled him to accomplish.

“CPAs are in the business of helping people, and it’s really a people science — you have to learn about your clients and find a way to relate to them. My practice is bilingual, which is important because for many of our clients, English isn’t their first language, so it’s important to connect in a way that’s comfortable for them. That, in turn, builds trust and is the foundation of our relationship.”

— Antonio Lopez, Jr., Founder

That story is an integral part of LCW CPAs: our values, our mission, and our commitment to helping our clients, corporations, business owners, and individuals achieve their own version of the American Dream while protecting their hard-earned money.

We celebrate our roots. We celebrate our heritage and the diversity our team represents.

Speaking Your Language – Figuratively

So many professions get caught up in their own lingo. Accounting is not immune to speaking in code, referencing tax form numbers and details that for business owners and individuals are not readily recognizable nor should they be.

That is not our intent. As a locally owned and operated firm we are committed to speaking your language – understanding your business, the key drivers of your industry, and focusing on your goals and your priorities.

That is our commitment to you. Being your advocate and champion for your success. We embrace our role of adding value with thoughtful insights and ideas well beyond the basic commodities of accounting services and tax filings. Accounting services and tax filings are the bare necessities of what we offer.

As clients, we are with you through the good times and the tough times, earning our role as a trusted advisor to you and your business.

Speaking Your Language – Literally

We also speak your language, literally. Among our team we have staff who are fluent in eight languages including Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Greek, Javanese, Indonesian, and Russian.

Going back to our founder, we are committed to serving underserved communities, including Gateway Cities where other accounting firms have departed for ‘greener pastures’. In enabling others to achieve their own version of the American Dream, we have our offices in two gateway cities, Lawrence and Lynn, to be accessible to business owners needing and seeking the expertise and advice to help them grow their business and protect their hard-earned money. And if they are more comfortable speaking in their native language, we are happy to speak their language to communicate in a manner where they are most comfortable.

Committed to Your Success

As human beings, we are comfortable working with people with whom we can easily communicate. As an accounting firm we work hard to earn your trust, seeking to build long-term relationships where we get to know you and your family, your financial goals and concerns so we can best guide and counsel you.

We believe speaking your language, literally and figuratively, is essential for us to best serve you.

Conclusion

Tax season is not the ideal time to change your accountant. As you get through this tax season, if you are not speaking the same language as your current accountant, consider making a change to be better positioned for effective tax planning in the future.
